Once that calculation is done, it sets a variable called i to 1, and the function keeps counting up from 1 while the variable i is set to the number that the function is calculating the floor square root of. When i reaches the number that the function is calculating the floor square root of, the function sets the variable result to that number, and the function loops back to the top of the code. The code then returns the value of i, which is the value of the floor square root of the number that was calculated.

This code is a LINQ to Objects function that searches a sequence of objects for a given key. It uses an indexed starts search. The first argument is the sequence of objects, and the second argument is the key.

In this code, the binarySearch() method will scan the given array, looking for the first occurrence of the given key within the given range. If the key is found, the method will increment the internal counter (first) by 1; if the key is not found, the method will search the range starting at the second-to-last element and going up to the first-to-last element, and if the key is still not found, the method will return the value of last. If the key is found at the given index (mid), the function will break out of the loop and return; otherwise, it will continue to the end of the loop.

Binary search



The merge function takes two arrays as arguments: an input array of ints from 0 ton1-1 and an output array of ints from n2-1 to n1. It merges the two arrays by moving the elements of one array into the other array until the size of the input array equals the size of the output array.

The code first creates two arrays of ints. The LeftArray array contains elements from the beg - mid inclusive range, while the RightArray array contains elements from the mid + 1 + j range.

Next, the merge function loops through the arrays, comparing every element of the LeftArray array with every element of the RightArray array. If the elements in the LeftArray array are less than the elements in the RightArray array, the element at k in the LeftArray array is moved into the RightArray array at j. This continues until both arrays have been merged and the end of the input array is reached. Finally, k is incremented so that the next merge operation will start at the beginning of the input array.
